Full Chock dia. For 410 Guage.

Does anyone know the chock diameter for a full chock on a 410 shotgun? The top barrel is .365 th. and the bottom barrel is .381 th. I’ve got and old Stevens that I checked and it is .383th. and I always thought it was a full chock.

Normal full choke should measure .396 which is 14 points of constriction from the normal bore diameter. That is for modern shells using shot cups. Before modern shells the chokes were often a lot tighter to try to control more deformed pellets. As you have seen different makers used different standards for their chokes trying to control that long skinny payload. Bob

Thank you for the information. .365 th then is a bit tight I guess you could say. Seems to hold a nice pattern though at 20 yards. Will make a nice rabbit gun.
