One of 10,000, ordered by the Austrian police in the mid 50's. So many were ordered, that many were unissued, and sat in police arsenals until sold as surplus in the U.S. during the mid 90's. The "LGK" marking on the grip, denotes ownership by the Austrian National Police.

Since this broken one has been in the States since the 90's. Hard to say who or where messed it up. Either some brain dead Austrin cop or previous American owner. Assembled and fired it without the recoil spring.
