What do you all think is a fair consignment percentage?
The ones I have used have charged 10% of the selling price. Happily paid that. Best Regards - AQH
Forum member Locust Fork charges 10%, which I consider very fair. She travels around the country picking up guns, is fully insured and gives consignors a legal contract. She does all of the listing work and the photography, and she handles all of the deadbeats and relisting's. All I do is go to my mailbox and get the check. She has a nationwide following among buyers and her items always bring top dollar. I suggest giving her serious consideration. I'm a Class 3 firearms dealer, but I have her selling my stuff for me!
Yes, 10% was about what I thought, but wanted a warm and fuzzy. Thanks!
10% was our standard during my gun shop days . I liked consignments . Helped broaden my inventory and enabled me to sell some items i normally would not have carried . Always able to upsale some ammo or accessories with it
