1100 vs 1187 bolt

py_archerpy_archer Member Posts: 12

The extractor broke on my 1187, I found a guy who has a bolt for sale that he says fits a 1187 or an 1100, is this true? They look the same. Parts seem to be almost dried up.

I don't know, but even Remington factory aftermarket parts may not fit your gun, as they have redesigned many parts.

Best to order from a reputable dealer who will refund your money if it doesn't fit; think Brownells or Gunpartscorp.

I thought the extractor was wider on the 11/87. Not sure if the 1100 narrower extractor would cause a problem with an oversize cut on a 11/87 barrel. IMHO it would be better waiting for an 11/87 part. Bob
