Just bought a Winchester 66 musket in 32-40 looking for help with value and correctness

The .32-40 cartridge is too long for the 66. Could it be .32-20?
Or .38-40?

Model 66 was only chambered in .44 Henry rimfire. I'm not a Winchester expert,.

The Winchester Model 1866 was chambered for the .44 Henry Rimfire cartridge. Towards the end of production, a few were made in, or converted to, a 44 centerfire cartridge, most of which were sold in Mexico. Both the rimfire and centerire cartridges were strictly black powder.
The bore in the rifle looks way better than most guns this age still has rifling and I don’t see pits May be a little dark but I have not cleaned it yet
They were never caliber marked and like others have said they were 44 Henry flat or converted to center fire. What is interesting is what looks like some kind of proof mark on the receiver. but it too blurry to tell.
