Humm, kinda like the peach slice idea.
Must be frozen or it would run out of the glass
Sounds great!
Here ya go ,,,,,,😊
Forge, tanxs for the fix 😎
A glass of diabetes - with a peach slice.
Hey, dont forget the lemon😄
Now I need a glass of sweet tea and a peach.
Sugar in tea should be considered a criminal act. I have seen tea glasses so saturated with sugar it would not all dissolve. Real men takes it straight.
Glasses saturated with sugar is not sweet tea but sweetened tea. Don
I prefer my bourbon straight (neat) and my tea sweet with Truvia. YMMV
In my part of the world tea is sweet and coffee is black .
Yankees drink unsweat tea.
Here in MO, when you ask for Tea, it comes with lots of sugar in it unless you ask for UNSWEET tea. Then it still comes with a spoon in it and there is sugar on the table should you change your mind !!!!
I was just in a little diner in Arkansas.
The choices for tea were:
Sweet
&
Extra Sweet
Got that right Butch. I am so old I grew up in Missouri before sweet tea was invented.
My sugar bowl is the forgotten container somewhere up on the top shelf of the kitchen cupboard. Last time I used it, I had to dust off the cover!
I do like tea. Hot or on ice. Just straight like my coffee. Now please me pass the donuts! 😁
Same here, I think our sugar bowl only has lint in it.😁
The only time I see ours is when SWMBO's mahjong or book club meets here.
It's over 90 degrees here; think I'll go make myself an iced tea with lemon. No sugar.
I have one of those at my house too.. 34 years and counting😄
Overcast and 79 here, I have a glass already.. cheers.
You know that guy in the western that asks for a drink and says, "leave the bottle?"
That's me with some sweet tea. I love that stuff.
Back in the day(early 1960's)......during early summer wheat harvest in Southern Oklahoma.....my grandmother would bring lunch for my uncle and I, to the combine/trucks in the fields.
The two quarts of STRONG tea were sweetened with CUPS of sugar.......not piddling little spoon fulls.
Mmmmmmmmm good!!! 👍
When I was a kid I think the ratio was 2 cups of sugar in a half gallon pitcher. Dayum that was/is a lotta sugar.
Yes it is. And those who consume several gallons of it every week are astounded when they get diabetes.
Two cups in a half gallon is what I mix as hummingbird nectar. It is not human food.
Sun Tea
Zowwy Wow! Even Kool-Aid was made with just 3\4's of a cup of sugar to a half gallon of water. And I thought Kool-Aid was too sweet!
Bring about a quart of water to boil, add 8 Louisana? tea bags, let sit for about 15 minutes, pour mix in gallon jug, add 1 cup sugar, top off with water. Not to sweet.
Can't stand the syrup that some folks call sweet tea.
I recall one weekend we were in Wisconsin for a football game and we were having dinner at a "supper club". I ask the server for a glass of iced tea and she informed that they only served iced tea in the summer..... We chuckled
We make it with fresh mint from my wifes garden.
I place six Lipton tea bags & about ten Mint leaves in a two quart Pirex meassure bowl. Fill with water & microwave on high for four minutes, repeat four times, and pour each one into a large plastic gallon tea jug with 5 large scoops of sugar. Stir till sugar is dissolved, and chill.
Water must be hot for sugar to dissolve. You can not make sweet tea with cold water. I can't stand it when you ask for sweet tea in a restaurant, and they bring you a glass of unsweetened iced tea & little packages of sugar to add to it...🤨
