Anyone Carry An OTF Knife for EDC?

I carry a S&W OTF (Out the Front) Knife for EDC. Flat dark Earth, has a black Spear point blade. Had a false edge on one side, now as razor sharp as the other side.
1st knife I used our Warner Commercial Knife Sharpener in our Meat Dept. on. Razor Sharp.
It never gets old, flicking the thumb release for instant out (and lock) then using the blade release and retraction slide to retract it. Has a beefy Pocket clip.
Personally, I do not understand how these are "Legal," while "Switchblades," are illegal. (If they still are.)
I can't carry a firearm at work, due to Corporate rules. (But) I am rarely unarmed.

Yes, Benchmade Infidel, auto out/auto in.
Like other things, best to be kept out of sight.
Call me 🐔, but I don't carry an auto knife anywhere near my nether regions! I'm kinda fond of those parts.😋
When the occasion warrants you may find me carrying a Mini Griptilian, that with practice I can have ready just about as quick as an auto. For those that carry an auto knife, more power to you - it is better to have and not need than the other way around. Bob
So @BobJudy, your saying you can carry this fairly close to your crotch and still remain safe? 🤔😉😂🤣

I have always thought the same way ! Left hand auto knives of any kind are hard to find. I will stick with my Spyderco.
Being left handed, it works well for me... I was also able to move the pocket clip so I can carry it with the blade out in my pocket.
My EDC is a Kershaw spring assist Leek
Handy little knife
I have 2 pockets up front, OTF in one and Spyderco in the other.
always carry two, that way at the end of the fight, you'll each have one
Wellll yeah! I am fondly attached to some of those parts and doing my best to keep it that way.😁
If one knife is good then two must be gooder!
A pair of Mini grips - The top one was the first and is 440c and then I found a second one that is 154cm. I actually bought two of the 440c ones but gave one to my rancher buddy in Montana. After he gutted and skinned a 250#+ whitetail with it that I shot he was reluctant to give me back my knife, so I gave it to him. The 154cm was an even better replacement.
Two things you can't have too many of, guns and knives! Bob
I carry a bunch of different EDC knifes. One of them is OTF. A true double sided dagger.
I have a couple of OTF having the button on the scales, but I found them awkward to use; so now the only OTF I carry has a side button.
That door you just kicked in was locked for your protection - not mine.
I BELIEVE that OTF knives are legal because of a loop hole, surrounding the fact that only ONE side is sharpened. I'm NOT 100% but it makes sense because ALL the OTF knives I see on the shelf are ONE sided only.
Maybe you made your illegal by sharpening the other side!🤯 Better store it with those deadly arm braces now.
Glad to see that you don't go to work unarmed Ken, it'd be tough to hold the meat....
Pretty sure how you might display it could be illegal, not actually by law but how the fellow with the badge wants to react.
Some areas OTF are truly illegal, others grey areas. Thus some things are best to be kept in your pants.
BTW the Infidel is sharp on both edges.
That's what Hillary told Bill.......
😁😁😉
I carry it as a fidget spinner when my hands get board. Just need to watch where I pull it out.
For over 50 years my EDC has been a Buck 110 I just hate change. Did break down and got the Buck 110 LT with the nylon handles it is quite a bit lighter
Knives are dangerous, you could cut yerself. And they will be confiscated at the airport. I am a frail old senior citizen and rely on my cane for stability. Or, it can supersize itself in an instant and become a 30 inch hickory base ball bat wannabe. In the event I misplace or drop it in my confusion, I have engraved a name & address on it. I strongly advise all seniors to carry a "cane".
😂 But, Bill never listened
I did for a bit. Then went with a regular folder. Too complicated
Not very complicated at all.

I used to carry a Benchmade auto-open but quit when I went out of that sort of business. No need to give some overzealous cop a reason to get upset (or the opportunity to steal my knife).
Now, I carry an 'assisted opening' folder. Just a 😂 but this actually happened: I took off my jeans one evening and dropped them on the floor. There was an audible 'snap-swiish' and when I picked the jeans up, the knife blade was sticking out of the jeans leg. I had this 'assisted opener' slicked up pretty good and had apparently failed to fully engage the lock that kept the blade closed. When the jeans hit the floor, the impact caused the blade to flip open cutting through the pocket and jeans leg. Good thing I wasn't wearing the jeans or 😥.
I carry a Benchmade Mini Infidel. It's an otf blade, sharped on both sides. It's wicked sharp. I also have a full size Infidel but find it too big for everyday carry.
...for most.
Meaning I was better armed with my Emerson than microtech, no reason to use overly complicated mechanism😘
I've spent much of my life confused by the spelling. Where in the heck did that pesky K come from anyway?
knife......nife........ 🙄
