    I remember seeing that on the discovery channell a few years back...... I wish him luck, but doubt he will ever get the to the truth

    Long ago, friend used to metal detect....NEAR the boundary of some... Federal land near where John Singleton Mosby was rumored to have buried a Federal payroll. Seems he had gotten a MASSIVE signal, had 3 of us willing to help him go dig. Quietly. At night.

    So we camoed up, hiked in by the light of the moon, and we dug all night, looking for that Yankee gold. STRONG metal detector signal.

    We never did find out who buried a damn dumptruck.
