My Wife is keeping the bird feeders full and we toss bred around the place for them also ( we buy it t a bread overstock place in town for almost nothing for the chickens )
But the feeders have become bait hunting areas for all her cats
Female Cardinal
Love the side eye pic of the female. She looks healthy.
Nice , I have grain out on the ground for the critters to eat. Last count this morning was around 60-65 Doves.
No snow here but I keep busy filling the feeders. We have so many yellow warblers in the apple tree that it looks like a lemon tree. They're so used to me - or so eager to get food - that I practically have to shove them off the feeder when I go to refill it. The last one will fly as I'm reaching for the thing. Funny though, if I go out with a camera, they blast off the moment they see it.
I filled out feeders a month and a half ago and shortly after that all the birds just up and disappeared. Maybe they know something we don't…
You need to buy better feed ?? 😉🙃
Great photos!
Do y'all have bears around there? Here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, bird feeders attract bears and the bears chomp on the pet dogs. This happened to my neighbor.
There is a bear sighting from time to time. I have never observed one myself in the area.
The squires love the dropped seeds under the feeder 🐿️
