    New haven is History, they're made in SC I believe

    Dokey, I know the new model 70's are made in the FN plant. I am collecting the Model 70 stainless steel models and others from the old New Haven plant. This is one I am looking for and have not been able to find. It was cataloged, but I am not sure if any were ever produced.

    Probably your answer can be found in Roger Rules book, unless it only deals with pre 64's

    i have three of the older md 70 classic sporters and like them,one is a ss .270 win, walnut stocked.i bought them at a close out just before they went south. according to T.S. uncle albert,one of the i don,t give a crap.
