577 Snider brass 24 gauge brass shotshells

I found what I believe is a product of the confederate contracts. Its a London Small Arms Co. 577 Snider. Unfortunately, an RCBS die set is almost $500 and brass is almost non-existant.

Ya got some? I can form brass from 24 gauge brass shotshells. Ya got a case or two of those lying around?

Take 28ga empty primed shells, cut to 2", wrap base with 2 wraps of electrical tape, load 60 grains of black powder and a mini ball. Mine will group less than 18in at 100 yds

Cabelas shows back order with three to four week delivery. Might give them a call and check. I had another source but lost some information and cannot remember who I got them from.

gad's shows they have live ammo available and if you don't have any dies then live rounds are the way to go.

I'm buying up anything I can, except ammo at $8 or more per round. I just got a set of Lee dies here at GB and 14 pieces of brass. I've ordered brass (Magtech 24 gauge brass shotshells) from a couple places. Huntington die told me that have no clue if magtech will even make any more so they instantly just canceled my order even though it (the ad) indicated they had them in stock.

Well, it didnt indicate that it had them in stock but no place in the ordering process did it indicate they did not have them or that they would be backordered.
