Hi all,
I just acquired Springfield M1 Ser# 50690, July 1940.
Would like to do a resto on it, but I am looking for a 1940 barrel. I have tried CPM,and a couple of other parts places. It has most of the correct internals. A gas port barrel I would think.
If you have one or know of one please contact me.
Thanks very much,

Also one of the more knowledgable members advised me that this is in the gas trap range and about when they started converting to the gas port mod.
I tried but with no luck.
On to the next lead. LOL
