Older Browning High power front sight needed

Like subject line says...
Shooting in the woods this year the front sight dislodged and on hands and knees I could not find it. Have looked a little online and been to 2 so called gunsmiths who said "I can't do that" and "I have no time to source the sight". Seems the older HP's had the front sight pinned from the underside of the slide. Older slides can't even be dove tailed with newer sights as the slide is not very thick up front and has a screwed in bushing. Any direction or info on where to find a sight or gunsmith with 1/2 a effort at helping [NJ shore area preferably] me would be greatly appreciated. Pistol was my dads so I really would like to keep it original. Thanks for looking
