I need about a pound and a half of this, can't be more then a 1/4 inch thick. I've got a non gun related project and I need some extra weight.

The first auction you mentioned doesn't show a picture so I don't have a clue as if it would work.

The lead in the second auction would most likely work.
One of our esteemed members said he'd send me a couple of pounds of what should work.

I'm not a lead bullet caster so I'm not familiar with all the different terms or types of lead.

When I did my search I used the terms of what I found on Amazon and Ebay as pretty much everything that turned up here was different calibers of lead bullets. 1 Ounce stick on wheel weights would have been perfect but I don't need a case of them.
Thanks for your help and the help of Perry Shooter & Jim Stark.[^][^][^]

I believe what you are looking for is correctly called Linotype. I can that that much go for a small fee. Mine is about an eighth of an inch thick. I can measure it if you're interested.

Thanks for the offer B17-P51, but Jim Stark came through for me and I received some lead from him yesterday. And yes Linotype would be the correct term. Me I'm not up on all these different lead terms.[;)][:D][:D]

No it isn't unless my 31 year old decides he's gonna build one.[;)]
