AR-15 pistol upper

I am looking for an AR-15 complete upper for an AR-15. Looking for an 8" barrel. I can find them online but for almost as much as just buying a complete AR. When I watch YouTube videos they talk about getting them for like $150-$200...any ideas of where to look for them for less than $400-$500 ?
