Freemind, I hear the deer hunting is great in Indiana - been thinking about going for my one wall-hanger sometime in the not-too-distant future (gotta get the house finished before I go chasing bambis dad, but I want to get ONE trophy buck, and the big ones are rare - they usually get pasted before they're three years old around here).

Any recommendations ona place to go for one?

Deer? What deer? I didn't see no deer, 'specially the 14 does I just shot this past month.

We have some good deer. Hoosier National forest may be your liking. Or private land, IF you can find any.

I am sure though, you were thinking of Illinios. I understood them to be known for trophy bucks.

You guys talking about trophy deer must be referring to Mulies, right?[:D] Not those puny ones, what are they? [:p]

Anybody else want to chime in on ivitations to those indiviuals I mentioned?

    Tulsa, Oklahoma.

    Gentlemen ;
I hesitate to `conscript' anybody ..even the worthies mentioned. They may well have their own private reasons for declining..and placing them on the roster before they check in seems not to be the proper form, don't you know.
That was part of the orginal 'ask to join' reason.

Oklahoma 223 is another possible Candidate ..he is young, but a strong supporter of the freedoms we are all reaching for...

We are now getting to the edge of the members that I am firmly convinced share the views of the Order about the Second and the Constitution...perhaps we ought to put together a simple test that will reveal a prospective members stand on the issues ?

I was out in Pueblo a little over a year ago. Saw a lot of dogs and pronghorn.

I do not wish conscription be used, only that a possible invitation be issued. I waited to "invited" myself as I was away when all this started and felt somewhat of an outsider for some reason. It can't hurt to ask, and these I mentioned plus okie223 (I forgot him for some reason HB, sorry[B)]) are all very dserving of it. I for one considered it an honor, and no wonder when you look at this group.

firedude, I wish I would have known. You have come in here like a thunderstorm, no holds barred, and I would like nothing more than to meet you. Dang it! This group that is assembling is everyone I ever wanted to meet in the first place. (Picken should be made more than an honorary member though!) Piss on what the collectivists think, we need to quit worrying about what they think.[:(!]

Ahhh, JP...ROTFLMAO over this one...You have been a stalwart from the first.
    I have no objection to the issuing of invitations;
I will not..for many find me persona non grata.

I have given some thought to resigning as No.1 in favor of a more..shall we say..winning personality ? In order to alleviate the angst of some with me personally.

Note the lack of capital letters in certain words in my screen name..allowing for future turnover.

Open and eager to any reasonable possibility of meeting any of you, as the wheels of chance turn.

I was out at the Emergency Response Training Center for a Haz-Mat response class. Here's our class pic:

    AH the smokehouse.

I remember doing some of my "24 hour training" in one of those.

I also remember doing by first responder coarse and cutting the shirt off a hot "instructer" during practicals.

Put that thought from your mind. We do NOT need winning personalities - we're not running for office, or miss congeniality - what we need are people who will not sugar coat or dumb down the message. Sometimes people need a good swift kick in the rear to shake loose the cobwebs, it "separates the wheat from the chaff" as it were and can stiffen the resolve of those who's minds are not permanently closed to the issues at hand.

    Excellent pic firedude, thanks. [8D]

HB, no, you can't resign. I don't think these particular folks would have issue with you in any way, but, as you wish. I will do it.
Anyway, as I was away for few months and returned after this was already begun, is why I felt a little "outside", if you know what I mean. Thanks for the very kind words. While this entire group is the cream of the crop, you and Mr. McManus are indeed something special, to me.[^]

Loko383 will be sworn in tonight around 10 P.M....unless a direct order to cease and desist is given by a standing member.

Were he willing to consider it; CodenamePaul would be an excellent addition to the Order.

He posts little..he has said much in person. A good man.
I realize that there is little to go on but my word..for most of his posting is years old.

I would be honored to keep the company of such men as yourselves. And while my posts have dwindled much as of late, I am here-be assured. I am always lurking. Much to be introspective about these days.....

A suggestion would be for all canaries to qualify as riflemen in the next available appleseed in your area. Go to

    appleseedinfo.org

to find out more. You may find (as I) that 1) you ain't as good as you may think you are 2) a whole ton of suprisingly like minded folks.

It is my intention to attend an instructors boot camp next summer, God willing.

I appreaciate the words of confidence but, as I told jpwolf, I'm not sure that I quite "fit in" with the group that is being assembled.

I consider myself to be a "canary" on a couple issues not involving gun control.....positions that have placed me on the opposite side of the debate, appearently siding with "collectivists".

By the way, I welcome any imput the other Canary * have on the matter, positive or not.
