A Letter to the NRA

Thought I'd play a bit-o-poke the quisling, so I sent another letter to my good friends at the NRA...[:)]
"Salutations,
For background, I am a Life Member of the NRA. I have carefully watched the actions of the NRA for a number of years and what I saw appalled me.
This prompted me to conduct focused research on past NRA actions, rather than typical NRA rhetoric and the result is inescapable...the NRA does NOT support the Constitution, nor does it support or believe in Amendment II to that Constitution, as written.
The meaning of Amendment II is crystal clear as is the intent behind it, as evidenced by the plethora of easily located writings by the founders which prove it.
Sadly and inescapably, the NRA stands opposite to the text of Amendment II and to the absolute intent behind that text.
Since at least 1934, the NRA has been in support of and actually assisted in passing/drafting anti-Amendment I & Amendment II legislation and various forms of gun-control.
'The Right of The People To Keep and Bear Arms' is exactly what the NRA has worked against for all these years.
It seems to have been a systematic effort to lull America into buying into a twisted version of a fundamental right and rather, to replace it with a system of government granted, government controlled 'PRIVILEGES' which 'allow' certain people, in certain situations and with certain firearms to participate in this now 'privilege'.
What a travesty.
The NRA is a Quisling Organization and one that is a clear domestic enemy to the Constitution and of individual liberty.
Actions speak, words ring hollow.
There is no need to rehash the litany of anti-Constitution actions and anti-Constitution agencies and programs supported and advanced by the NRA...the list is too long and the end-result is clear.
Just so you know, I will do all in my power to educate others who have drank of the 'NRA Kool-Aide' as to the facts behind what the organization is all about.
I have been at it steadily and busily for years and I plan on accelerating my efforts. These efforts are paying dividends, just so you know, since truth and fact win out over lies, deceit and rhetoric, all day, every day.
I am not alone in these efforts, they are becoming more and more organized. I have moved my financial and advocacy support to the GOA and JPFO and I have not/will not give another dime to ANY activity or program of the NRA.
Slowly and steadily, the curtain is drawing back on what the NRA is and does.
I wish you no success at all in your endeavors,
Jeffrey XXXXX

I'm not a life member. I never had the urge to part with that much money at one time on a membership with anyone. I never felt well represented by the NRA when I was a member and you just proved to me I saved myself LOTS of money by dropping out in the 80's. It was bad then but it got worse.
Compromising away our 2nd Amendment, a piece at a time, over the years wasn't good enough for you?? NOW your willing to throw the 1st Amendment under the bus just to preserve the massive financial empire you've built on the backs of unwitting gun owners that trusted you to represent them and their un-infringed right to keep and bear arms.
There is a lot of discussion concerning your Statements concerning H.R. 5175. You get little support from the common people I know and generated a very high level of disgust within the gun owner communities. Now, I must make it clear that I have no use for your organization and choose to support the competition organizations (GAO/JPFO) and INDIVIDUALS you are so willing to turn your back on. That "so-called First Amendment principle" means something to ME.
If you so easily dismiss the individual, and group, 1st Amendment rights to free speech, it's no wonder you can so easily dismiss the individual's 2nd Amendment Rights against infringement!!!
I read this letter (below) to your organization today and although not a complete accounting of your transgressions I want you to know I'll be assisting in the author's endeavor.
(I saw no reason to include your letter here but I sent it to them.)

As often as I pray that the cup be passed, I believe strongly that the storm is coming....and soon.
At least I know it got there. It may have entered a black hole but it's an NRA black hole. Now to see if it makes a difference.

Thank you,
NRA-ILAWhat a surprise.
Most excellant Cap'n!! Now ol Faux can't accuse you of being a "keyboard commando" and doing nothing to for your rights![:0][:D]
What an unexpected occurrence THAT would be.[:)]
This new maneuver on their part clearly shows that the NRA is even for the bas tardized agglomeration usually referred to as the "gun rights movement", which includes everyone from the hard-core to the Fudds.
The NRA is in it for themselves.....well, by "themselves" I don't even mean the true believers like Mr. Sloth. By "themselves", I point squarely at the leadership of the organization. What better way for Wayne to keep funding his African Safaris than to ensure that the only way pro-gun advertising gets out is to channel it through his organization only?
