California Gov. Enacts Ban of hand guns.

sovereignmansovereignman Member Posts: 544 ✭✭✭
Brown's says he has signed a measure that bans the open carrying of handguns in California.

The law, AB144, makes it a misdemeanor to carry an exposed and unloaded gun in a public place.

The governor's office made the announcement in a statement early Monday morning. Brown has been rushing to sign dozens of measures sent to him by lawmakers.

Top California law enforcement officials supported the legislation.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Brown said he had "listened to the police chiefs."

Supporters say the only person who knows whether the gun is loaded is the person carrying the gun. Opponents say the bill is one of many assaults on the public's Second Amendment rights.

I knew this eventually was coming, so I got my CCW permit last year. It's a damn shame, but it's California...that's what I get for living here. I'll never leave this state, though. Screw all the Liberal's.

They will figure a way to get the CCW stopped as well, it will just take time.

Law enforcement officials...in Cal where actually the ones pushing/supporting this law...they have done it in my State too....Minnesota is an open carry State..and you need a permit to carry....most if not all instructors recommend concealed carry...less hassles...I have never seen anyone open carry here...and there are thousands in this State that could...my 2 cents

Funny thing though, Brown just signed legislation making it easier to get a CCW here on the same day he signed the ban on Open Carry.

But you're right. I'm sure it'll be impossible to get one at some point in the future.

Sure they are, Jim, you just can't see it yet.

Wait until they ban them entirely. That way, nobody but the police wil' lever shoot anybody and gun crime will be a thing of the past in the new kali-utopia.

I don't like new gun laws, and I don't like most of what goes on in the PRK, but who on earth would WANT to carry an unloaded, unconcealed pistol in public? I prefer mine loaded and concealed. If things ever turn nasty, I want the fact that I am armed to be a big surprise.

    So they didn't "ban handguns"?

So the title of your post is a complete and utter fabrication?

Is that the same as a lie?

Geeeee, let me trust you some more on your posts(crap), they are just soooo valuable, accurate, and informative.

Try, at least part of the time, to post something that has some connection to reality.

You've heard of the concept of reality, right?

    .
I keep wondering the same thing. What is it that this law is really trying to accomplish ?

ONLY the voters in the state of California can prevent this sort of anti-gun movement.

Vote them out and vote for pro-gun candidates. [^]
    +1

There are not enough conservatives left in California to vote the socialist out. California's next major move will be to limit CCW.
