Thanks to your action, HB-1588 -- the Universal Gun Registration Scheme -- failed to make a crucial deadline and is now dead.
This victory could not have been possible without your action.
But this was just one defensive victory in the war against your Second Amendment rights.
While that bill is long gone, I'm very worried that two other anti-gun bills, which survived the deadline will now be targeted as a dumping ground for anti-gun amendments.
*** HB-1612, sponsored by anti-gun Republican Mike Hope would put gun owners on par with sex offenders by establishing a "gun offender" registry.
*** HB-1840 bans firearm possession and requires the CONFISCATION OF FIREARMS without due process or criminal conviction for anyone subject to an order of protection.
These bills could be voted on very soon.
Urge them to OPPOSE HB-1840 and HB-1612 in their entirety.
