All of us in the gun community needs to make sure we impact every election, especially Nov 2. Also, make sure your friends and family register as well. This is going to be a super close election, remember that the liberals will be lawyered up in every state, so lets make sure the count is not close enough for them to litigate and cry to CNN that they were cheated!!!!!

I understand that your president supported the NFA of 1934 and the final machine gun ban in 1986.
If your group starts opposing the unconstitutional bans of NFA firearms, I may rejoin you.
Until then, it's the GOA for me.[^]
You know..your 4 years,no gun-law rollback,increased funding for "Gun Law Federal Prosecuters",increased funding for the jack-booted Batf,"I will sign a AWB" Second Amendment...president ?
You may find comfort that there is no full=blown assualt..YET..on guns..I believe that is because those in power are making HUGE strides in removing OTHER freedoms in this country...
I mainly was directing my questions to NRA_Recruiter...who seems really worried about a Liberal president...and not at all worried about a Fascist one...
Most are indeed content to blindly 'follow their leader'...no matter that their leaders are leading them off the cliff into Socialism...and worse.
Just too damn bad intelligent people cannot judge a politician on one single basis...DO THEY FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION..???
Every politician in Washington..save perhaps for Ron Paul,Tx..would be out of office.

I respect you and your opinions fox,this in know way meant to attack you,just my own thoughts/opinions.....L.H.
This is necessary because snowflakes drift down One At A Time....and one at a time they will build up on that flat roof until the stress limit is exceeded...and at that moment,the roof will collapse.
Those snowflakes are merely non-thinking frozen particles of frozen moisture..yet they WILL take a roof down.
Would that intelligent,rational human beings could understand that doing the same thing over and over again,expecting different results,is no longer rational..and that the survival of this entire grand experiment of freedom DEPENDS on "trying something different"..that the two-party system is bankrupt,corrupt,and working tirelessly to undermine EVERYTHING you hold dear....
One at a time,honest,decent men could vote for a third party...until the roof protecting corruption collapses....
The gene pool needs chlorine.
LH, if significent votes went to a third party, you would get the attention of the Dems & Reps, but you would not scare them if they went on to win by a millions and millions of votes over the third or fourth party. Besides in a "life or death situation" how many people are going to spend their vote on a third or fourth party, knowing that party will lose, when that voter desperately needs to help the party that is lilkely to win and with whom the voter has at least SOME agree with.

TR:
What you have to understand is this: Ralph Nader took a small percentage of the election from Al Gore. However the 2% (or less) of the vote that he took was enough that Al Gore lost some extremely close states because he had some competiton with similar values (or lack of values). If the Republicans realize that they are losing votes to the Constitutional Party because of serious gun owners, they may try to "win us back". In most "battle ground" states, the winning candidate would be good to have a single percentage point above the competition. If the "generic" such as Nader took 3% from Al Gore, that obviously would have lost a few states for the Demonkrats. Same thing if the Constitutional party took 3% from Republicans. They will have to take us more seriously if we aren't a "guaranteed" vote.
french people don't speak german, thank my dad for that
The way things stand now, it is "possible" that several million of us could join together and vote for or even write in for a presidential canadidate other than the Demoncrats or Repulicians. And yes that probably would send a loud and strong message to the party that lost our vote, because otherwise we might have voted for them, and that might cause that particular party to pay more attention to us in the next election. Sound good so far? Well, here is the downside.
While millions of us spend our one vote throwing it away on a 3rd party canadidate in order to send a message to the Republicians, just for one examaple, that means the Republicians (probably our second choice in the campaign) will have lost the help and support of the millions of our protest votes. THIS MEANS THERE IS A MUCH BETTER CHANCE FOR OUR THIRD CHOICE, THE DEMOCRAT, TO WIN THE ELECTION. And if that happens, we can all sit around and congratulate ourselves upon sending a protest vote, all the while we have to suffer 4 more years of a Democratic President.
If we had the right to vote for our 1st AND 2nd choice, we could still send our protest vote to the 3rd party (Heck, he/she might even win) but you could still help your second choice (The Republician for example) by giving them your other vote.
This idea does no harm to anyone and it gives free help to the alternative parties. Plus it makes the votes more powerful in the voting booth. What is not to like about this?

However...the choice today is pretty plain.
1...Socialism;
2....Fascism;
Go right ahead and delibertely vote one or the other in..and then proclaim.." I did what was best for America.."...
Don't mind me,as I proclaim..." Bulls**** "...
