I'm counting this edit as my 5101st post; we have a tie! I emailed both contenders about their prospective win, and will let the email system take care of the tie-breaker.
The 2 discs in question were 1/4" apart, side-by-side and 25' from where I fired the shot.
Soon as I get a confirmation email from the WINNER, I will post that as well.
OK reloaders, here's your chance at getting a nicely used RCBS reloading press with primer arm!
Requirements for the giveaway: MUST be a reloader! Or wish to start reloading immediately!
NO selling, trading, auctioning, swapping, or otherwise converting the prize to cash. If I'd wanted it sold; I'da done it myself!
Drawing to commence upon my reaching 5101 posts.
Method of selection: The last time I will use this press is to load as many brass discs as there are entrants into a 444 Marlin shell (each disc with an identifier), or if more are needed; a 12ga. shell (loaded on a different press), and shot skyward at an angle of 90 degrees from horizontal. The closest one to the firing point will win.
I'd post a pic, but the Hunter photo thingie swallowed them and I don't know where they went.
I found 'em! see below!
It's a green, heavy press, maybe a Rockchucker, maybe a Rock crusher, I have no idea, I've had it so long. It's definitely not a "partner" press, though I used to have it and 2 others mounted in line on the bench for a single-stage-progressive setup.
For you worry warts; I have used similar methods to pick a wimmer, and so far, no mishaps.

HA! Figured out the pic thang! Unleashed a MONSTER haven't we?
BTW-The post to post these pics don't count, so we're looking at 5101 posts; if you want in, I'm bustin' to post more stuff, so if you snooze-you lose!

Thank you.
(not an entry)
I'd appreciate an opportunity also. Thanks.
Please DO NOT enter me, I would love to see a newbie win it so they can learn the art of reloading on a good press!!!!!!!!

I appreciate your notion for this give away and your way of selecting the winner is mighty nice and novel as well.
However, I am hoping that you will assure your own safety as well. I expect that one of the discs at least, will find it's way right on back down to strike you in the crown!
I'd hate to think that you might get injured physically in the drawing process. It'd really be bad all the way around. What draw blood on you and if injured badly ... it'd be at least ten times worse. You'd be out of action and awarding the prize might even be jeapordized! That would be bad all the way around ... a definite lose, lose situation for sure!
For those reasons and many others, I implore you to take measures for self-protection. At least wear a well designed tinfoil helmet, OK?
I think that we all manage to sleep better. Take care, it is important to at two of us! [:)] [;)] [:D]

THANKS[:)]
Thanks.
Great giveaway and way to get a new guy started. (Where were you 5 or 6 years ago?[:D])
I already have 6 reloading presses so I'll pass; but for assisting others, could you comment on what type of RCBS press, i.e. Jr., Rockchucker, etc.?
The "RS" on the press stands for a..."Reloader Special"...[:)]. "RC" would indicate "Rockchucker"[:)]
Robert
He got back to me first, and wants to start a younger friend into reloading; no better cause than expanding our base!
I will ship Monday, if I survive the crowds at the range this weekend (I'll be testing out my new 91/30, sighting in a new 1911, sighting in a new .22cal airgun, and mounting/sighting in a scope on a new Borchardt! The peeps aren't doing it for me anymore).
So, to all who took the time to enter, Thank You; I wouldn't have any Giveaways if nobody were interested, and it's good to share the sport!

sandwarrior - Congratulations to you and your nephew as well!
The younger they are when bit by the reloading bug, the better I believe!
Hope that you all are having a great weekend. Do a lot of shooting and have a lot of fun doing so. Take care.
