There are a couple of sources (books) that help a reloader develop loads for cartriges that are not listed in common reloading manuals. I need to work up a load/loads for the 338-375 Ruger. Available info has been sketchy at best. I want to get it right, as anyone that reloads can understand. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If it was mine I'd be looking a full case or mildly compressed lit by a mag primer. I would also try and find a ball type powder, H870 maybe. How does the case capacity compare to a 340 Weatherby Mag? Remember that Weatherby's are long throated, other chambers require a powder reduction.

358 Norma mag. data will get you into the ballpark. Your loads wills end a little better than the old Norma load. Many variables to consider, so start low and watch for signs of trouble.

If I'm venturing into unknown waters, I run the numbers through a Powley Computer (slide rule) to get an idea of starting load and powder.

Had a Powley Computer/slide many years ago, but we have moved around a lot and it is probably misplaced somewhere. Have checked out some of the available download programs that might be useful. Thanks to all for your feedback.
