M1 Garand and M1 Carbine Charity Shoot

MARION ROAD GUN CLUB, 6170 Marion Road, Macon
THIS IS A CHARITY SHOOT - CASH DONATIONS ACCEPTED!!!
Proceeds to benefit American Legion Post 3, Macon
Sign-in begins at 9:30 AM. Event starts at 10:00 AM with extra relays as needed.
RIFLES ALLOWED
Any M1 Garand Rifle or M1 Carbine in safe working order.
Garands and Carbines will be scored separately.
DISTANCE: 100 Yards (NRA SR-1 targets will be provided)
AMMO REQUIREMENTS
M1 GARAND: 32 rounds for score + desired number of optional sighters.
M1 CARBINE: 40 rounds for score + desired number of optional sighters.
Shooters bring own ammo, NO tracers or armor-piercing ammo allowed.
MANDATORY EQUIPMENT
Shooters AND spectators MUST bring eye and ear protection. Chamber flags are required and can be purchased for $2.00 each at the range.
OPTIONAL: Slings, shooting jackets, spotting scopes, gloves, ground mats.
COURSE OF FIRE
M1 GARAND: fire eight (8) rounds during each of four stages
M1 CARBINE: fire ten (10) rounds during each of four stages
Optional Sight-in Stage: 10 minutes to shoot desired number of sighters from any position.
Stage 1 - BENCH SLOW FIRE: 8 or 10 rounds fired in 5 minutes from the seated bench position.
Stage 2 - STANDING RAPID FIRE: 8 or 10 rounds fired in 1 minute from the standing position.
Stage 3 - SITTING RAPID FIRE: 8 or 10 rounds fired in 1 minute from the sitting position.
Stage 4 - PRONE SLOW FIRE: 8 or 10 rounds fired in 5 minutes from the prone position.
Special Note: We will accommodate shooters who are unable to fire from the sitting or prone position.
