Bullets for M1

ToolfogieToolfogie Member Posts: 1,254 ✭✭
I'm looking for some bullets to reload for my M1. Mainly for informal target shooting at 100-200 yds. I'm considering these.

Any other suggestions?

    Those would be fine.

Wideners also has bulk M80 147 gr FMJBTs that are fine for informal shooting. I would, however, say that neither of these is a really high quality bullet, nor does this appear to be a true M2 clone.

Other possibilities would be bulk PRVI if you are looking for them on the cheap.

I bought some of those and they were NOT very accurate
Shooting from mine and my daughter's M14 clones
6" groups at 200 meters from my younger daughter who is our best shot.
They are milpec, definitely not accuracy bullets.

I;ve also purchased 2000 of these. The cannelure is in the correct place for 30.06 brass which is a real plus for me. They are not U.S. manufacture, packing box has "Serbia" and also "PRVI" (whatever that means). As far as accuracy, I bulk load for the Garand and just enjoy banging away.

OK, I ordered some. They oughta be good enough for the way I shoot.[:)]
