Why do the cases on my 22 hornet keep crushing at the shoulder??? I have the right amount of lube on them. Some are fine but alot get crushed in the press.I know it is one of the thinnest cases but what am I doing wrong.

The adjustment between expander ball/decapper and the top of the inside shell head is likely the problem. Make sure dies are clean and vent is open.

Chamfer the inside of case neck first. Lube the inside of neck with graphite or Imperial die wax. Are some of the cases overly crooked ?

    Are you using an x-die?

Yup; chamfer first, make sure the decap stem is STRAIGHT, and use a good lube.

But my big tip is to slow down. I suspect you are slamming the press handle down. You need to really FEEL those little cases in; the slightest catch will crumple them. Get the case mouth centered in the die with your fingers and them slowly raise the case into the die. Take two full seconds to get to the end of the ram stroke. If ANYTHING seems to hesitate, stop. Back the case out, rotate it 90? and gently ease it in again.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Listen to Rocky! I use Hornady One Shot spray lube and make sure some gets into the case mouth. Roll them 180 and hit'em again.

On lube, I much prefer Imperial Sizing Wax. All I have to do is lightly swipe my fingertips across the stuff every 20 cases or so and then just handle the brass as usual; no special wiping or spreading needed. I do rub a fingertip across a case mouth every five or ten cases to get the merest whisper of it inside the neck. Nothing else needed.

It wipes off if you choose to; I often just leave it and shoot because there is so little of it on the case.

try backing the die body off a little bit and see if that helps.

Maybe I missed it, but is the problem when you size, or when you seat?
If it happens when seating you may be crimping too hard. If so, back out the die a tad and bring down the seating stem to return to your desired OAL. If feel you have to crimp, a Lee factory crimp die will do away with the problem, though with my Hornet I get just as good, if not slightly better results, with no crimp at all.
