bolt face modification

I would like to custom barrel my interarms mini mark x in 7.62x39 to a 6.5 creedmoor. The bolt face/rim is smaller than needed for a creedmoor, can this be modified by a gunsmith? I realize the PPC family would work, just not interested in them. This will be a single shot as I do not care if he round will work in the magazine.
Thoughts?

    danzander,

The bolt face can be opened up by a gunsmith since these were originally available chambered for the .22-250 Rem. The Creedmoor case is the same length as the .22-250 Rem. but the overall loaded length is longer for the Creedmoor. I understand your choice of shooting single shot, I was re-stating for clarity.

The 6.5 Grendal would work without much to do. The performance though will be 300-350 FPS behind the Creedmoor, so I understand your choice.

I would suggest putting this in Ask the Experts.

    Best.
