RCBS makes a die set. I have heard Carcano brass can be used.
It might be harded to find tham 7.62X39 brass.
Federal makes the ammo, but I don't know if they sell the brass.

The rim (.443") and head (.441") diameters are highly rare. Turning larger cases down to match would weaken them excessively, and you can't make smaller ones larger.

Besides, those cases aren't exactly uncommon.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

SHORT ANSWER.......NO, THE CARCANO AND THE .30 REM. ARE CLOSE BUT THE QUESTION IS WHY? 7.62X39 BRASS IS PLENTIFUL AND CHEAP. MIDWAY HAS WINCHESTER BRASS LISTED AT $21.00/50

The PPC cartridges are based on the .220 Russian which shares some dimensions with the 7.62x39 but trying to convert PPC cases to 7.62x39 would be a bit like "making a sows ear out of a silk purse".

We are losing our perspective when $.42 plus freight for an unprimed case is cheap for a cheap rifle.

True, I remember when this stuff was $.10 per loaded bullet. $.20 for loaded bullets with reloadable brass.
