any info on 1858 rem. 8 in. vurses 18 in.barrel, .36 & .44 tks.Bobbyrose so without knowing cylinder to barrel loss the 18in. barrel would vary from 140 to 160 percent better than the 7 1/2 in with aprox same amount of powder.
