I stabbed myself

In the finger today. I was cutting a zip ties and it slipped. Stabbed myself in the pointer finger right above the first knuckle from my hand. Went In about 5/8" of an inch and about 1/2" long. Now I am having a hard time bending my finger and it hurts like hell.

    Shouldda immediately squirted peroxide into it HARD!!!
    Then Alcohol (isapropil) in it.
    Then Alcohol (Ethanol) in your stomach![^]
    U would be feeling no pain unless U hit the bone. THAT HURTS!!!

    careful watch for infection . deep puncture wounds seem to hurt and take forever to heal

    Did that about 30 years ago with a utility knife, clean slice through the 1st joint up from the knuckle on left Index. Oil, grease Diesel fuel, clean with spray starting fluid, wrap with rag and black electricians tape, may require Blasting Shot Wire or Lacing Wire and 200 MPH Duck Tape. B&B- Bourbon and Beer applied later. Do keep eyes on it about Serious Infection---Wife's Brother Didn't!!!

    I did the same with a 1/4" wood chisel years ago.
    Was inletting a skeletal buttplate on burl walnut and skipped off a super hard knot. Right into the first knuckle and took a thin sliver of bone. Fished the sliver with tweezers, put on a bandaid and wrapped with electrical tape to keep blood off my wood.

    Pour whiskey on it and rub it in. Cover with toilet paper and wrap in masking tape. Bodyshop bandage now applyed.

    ....soak the "stabbed" part in Epsom Salts"......soreness will go away...heal much faster.

    I bought 25 heifers at the cattle sale a couple weeks ago. When I got them home I gave them all their shots, wormed, tags etc needed. As I was about to give one a black leg shot he jumped and the needle went in my finger and I gave my self a black leg shot. So now I shouldn't get black leg.
