This has to be the most idiotic stupid unnecessary waste of time I have ever seen. If I was the family the law suits would fly until the lead antagonist cop was fired for little wee-wee syndrome.

What is the matter with younger cops these days??
In listening to the video, the first thought I had was that I was listening to "roid rage. So are steroids a problem with young cops these days??
Ought to be fired and sued.
wonder what they would have done if something went wrong and the mom or baby had died ?
stupid bleens and then they wonder why people hate cops
charged with eluding the police for not stopping in what looks to be a dark road and rural area , around here allegedly you do not have to pull over until you get to a well lite area
.
I see the same Harley cops hiding in the bushes EVERY DAY, for several years, popping unsuspecting drivers of these sudden speed limit drops. They literally swarm the area like a war zone pulling people over left and right. I drive to work and see the Roanoke cops with folks pulled over left and right every day. It's pretty ridiculous around here. It is completely obvious this is not about public safety but solely about generating revenue.
In fact, I warn all new employees at work about the harassment the Roanoke cops give here so as to save them from getting a ticket. Roanoke cops feed off of the unsuspecting and unknowing....in the name of public safety of course....
I do not knowingly speed or ever in a hurry when I drive and am very courteous. In fact I always make sure I'm doing the speed limit. I have not had a ticket in over 20 years until a couple of months ago. I had to run an errand and came into an unfamiliar neighborhood. I was popped doing 35 in a 25 by one of Roanokes finest pukes hiding in the bushes.....in the name of public safety of course.... After not having a ticket in over 20 years this on cost me $258. Nice. I feel like a real rebel here. WOW.
Needless to say I have very little respect for the cops in Roanoke, Texas. It's not because of the type of person I am, but because of the type of cops they are.
We can be thankful the family dog wasn't involved.
No matter what you think is going on, You have to adapt to facts as they
present themselves.

I support LEO, BUT, one of those guys should have taken charge and done the right thing,,that's the scary part,,and talking about tazing? really?
That is one of the biggest problems in law enforcement....PEER PRESSURE, you don't want to appear weak in front of your co-workers, that is why not a single one of them tried to de-escalate the situation and use common sense. It's like a mob mentality when you have that many cops on the scene. The initial officer needs to be fired, that was a situation that could have been de-escalated and he could have followed the couple to the hospital but he was a bully and a tyrant and he was not going to be pacified. PISS POOR TRAINING AND LACK OF SUPERVISION. There should have been a supervisor on the scene within five minutes of the traffic stop.
You know...every day for over the past 5 years I drive into work in Roanoke, Texas. Every day when I get into town the area is swarming with cops on Harleys and Tahoes.'Swarming' with cops?
I'm familiar with Roanoke. It's a small town that probably doesn't have a total of more than 25 or so cops.
With those divided between all the inevitable back office jobs and the uniform types having to be spread out over multiple shifts that means they may have 4-5 out on the road at any given time. Of course, that's assuming no one called in sick. [:D][:D]
More to the point, the cops in that video are idiots.
The Roanoke Police Department is comprised of 31 full time sworn officers, 1 reserve officer, and 15 civilian employees, all dedicated to providing the highest quality police services to everyone in our community. If you are unable to find the information you are seeking, please contact us.

they usually ride inside their Tahoes here[:D]
Once the responding officers assessed the situation, they requested EMS, which was correct. After that, they should have released the husband & apologized. When they determined that birth was imminent & the ambulance had an extended ETA, they should have driven the couple to the hospital in a police car with lights & siren, or delivered the baby on the scene.

Want to get nasty? Want to fight? They will bust your butt in a minute. Want to do 75 in a 55? License and registration, please.
But they are professionals, and they are part of the community. I would no more expect- or accept behavior like that in the video than I would expect my family doctor to be a raving loon.
BTW, our Sheriff is an ELECTED official. The voters here would not put up with that. When behavior like that in the vid is tolerated, it will continue.
I have not worn a badge in years- when I did, I have escorted vehicles- at a safe pace- to the ER. Have helped deliver one on the side of the road when dad waited too long to start the trip to the hospital. Never threatened to tase any of them (even if I had HAD a Taser)

Well after working here for over 5 years it's completely obvious what the Roanoke patrol cops have an agenda other than public safety. In fact one of my new hires just got a ticket at lunch today. I actually got a radar detector the other day just for knowing how Roanoke cops work around here... Yesterday while coming into town the detector warns of the three traffic camera (I'm already aware of those) and was hit three separate time be Roanoke radar....all within a three mile stretch just getting to work.
Yesterday while coming into town the detector warns of the three traffic camera (I'm already aware of those)...I assume you're referring to red light cams.
You do know those don't use radar, right?

I don't know about where you live, but the ones here in western Iowa sure do have radar. That's how they know you are running the light.

Okay, I understand now.
It doesn't actually detect them, it just tells you when you're approaching one the manufacturer is aware of.
BTW - Just for the record, I'm strongly opposed to red light cams. [V]
