There was a question on Japanese swords some time back, I have searched all 29 pages trying to find it. The information that you may want is www.BandKExoticTreasures.com.
They make new Japanese edged weapons and do restorations. "Ray-San" is the last living Satsuma blade smith. They are always looking for real Japanese edged weapons - the older the better.
They will not deal with photos. They must have the blade in hand. They are in Jacksonville, Florida and do the gun shows at the Shrine Temple, the Ocala show and the Lake City show or you can contact them and make arrangements to have the blade shipped to them.
