Celestron spotting scopes anyone?

Anyone have experience with them? Looking at a Celestron Regal M2 80ED. Can get my hands on one for about $300 gently used. Sure it would beat the h#ll out of my Barska I have right now.

Its a good spotter but it is large and heavy, not something I would take to the field.
Optics are clear and it works as advertised.

My gun was a military Swiss 7.5 x 55, but I left my Celestron Maksutov home. Instead I took a late 50's Questar 3.5" astronomical.
The range for my ramp sight rifle was 1200 yards on a 3 foot gong. After 3 range shots, there were solo shots, then six seconds later, BONG!
This model scope was always featured on the inside cover of Sky and Telescope, and they went with Apollo missions.
I doubt the maker ever thought it would be used for shooting instead of star gazing.
