new law signed today by JDick Prickster

GrasshopperGrasshopper Member Posts: 16,704 ✭✭✭✭
FFL's will have to have a "state" license along with annual "training".Prickster, two days in office, couldn't wait to sign it. Will cost the Illinois FFL ANOTHER 1500 A YEAR.
Yes, the mofkers have shut the door already. One of my FFL 's has a small shop and he is thinking about giving it up. Along with an electronic inventory, surveillance, ect. in the bill will be costly.
Prickster also states, "there will be MORE common sense" gun laws coming down the pike.
I hate this state and the idiots who put the goat suckers in.

The only common Sense gun laws there is is to put all felons behind bars. None of this BS probation for felonies, no more leniency, with a minimum of 10 years sentence behind bars for any felony.

Oh did I mention to bring back the chain gang...

Common sense gun laws do not penalize the law abiding citizen, there's no common sense in penalizing innocent people...common Sense gun laws would deter would-be criminals from committing crimes... such as I outlined above

Sadly as the resident liberal cheerleader always says

    Brick by brick

Gun owners on this board attack other gun owners who happen to live in states more inclined to violate rights but eventually the corrosion of our rights will move to even the redder states.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Beat me to it.. LEAVE ILLINOIS,, yea ok, then what, leave Kansas, leave Oklahoma.. The liberals are like a disease, it SPREADS, coming to a state near you.
My son will see the USA change into what, I don't know. Perhaps, it is the way it is supposed to be, and I have been wasting my efforts to stop any type of "gun legislation" here in Illinois. The media is the tool the socialist use to a great effect. I am really sad about this as I just talked with my smaller FFL and he says he can't do it. We gathered there many nights talking, chatting and became friends with many fellow gun owners. Now, the place will vanish as the state wishes and another bar has fallen onto us. Damn sorry it is, damn sorry.

I agree with Grasshopper about liberalism.

I was looking to make the move to a neighboring state that has consitutionaly carry.

However in the last election, Democraps took over the state house of the neighboring state.

Now they have already put in place restrictions on carrying in the state house and they have many more restrictions planned.

I was very actively looking at land in the neighboring state to make the move. But now it looks like the laws are going to be the same as my currect state so I am in holding pattern to see what is going to happen.

I'm not saying it will never happen here, but Indiana's state constitution clearly states that, "...the people have a right to bear arms in defense of themselves and the state."

C'mon over here. The water's fine over here, for now...

Hillary campaigned on raising FFL fees to $1500. BTW, the current Governor is a DEMOCRAT.

Sadly, that has proven many times in the past two centuries to be a poor choice in last words. It makes a whole lot more sense to "do something about it," versus quoting foolish adages (of dead people), waiting and expecting others to do it for you. [;)]

I done a lot this past election and the one in 2016. We, meaning 2nd Amendment supporters, are fighting a battle in Illinois that can't be won now as the Democrats have a super majority. For the life od me, I can't see why you are so giddy about laws coming down that in essence infringes on the very Amendment that keeps us free.?
I guess now the Democrat party needs to place a 70% tax on Euro vehicles that can go over a hundred miles per hour since we all know "speed" kills. Would you like that and how would you "fight" it since all the media would be behind it, if it just saves "one" child.
Lead the way and turn your vehicle over to the government and save the children. Start a moving trend and then "tweet" about how you made a difference.

Yea, I'm sure you did a lot....of bitching. Giddy? Again I believe you are posting while impaired. When I am, I admit it openly, but it is not routine as I believe your habits are. Your babble is puzzling. My post only states the obvious, that I believe this country has gone down a terrible path in the last two years. Those ignoring the obvious are ignorant in my opinion. You, just seem to be jealous of my planned departure to retirement in a wonderful place. You, may stay in your toilet and * about all that's wrong. Me, I'm changing my life for the better. [^]

Keep the name calling up. Didn't expect much else. You have no idea what I do or don't so please quit making up things in your mind to justify your statements. I do wish you well, I really do.

Washington State has the same thing in our State Constitution. In the last ten years as liberals have taken over it?s been nothing but violated. I fully expect them to try and ban semi auto?s next here.

Its probably b EVERY state constitution doesn't mean they actually abide by it or legislate relative to it.

As for retiring in a great pkace do they allow you to have guns?

The fact that Illinois got another liberal democrat is hardly a surprise.

I hold the Republican Party at least partially at fault.

The previous governor (Rauner-R) was probably one of the worst governors ever from any state.

And the party did not insist that he step down (when elected, he claimed he would not run for a 2nd term) and run a candidate that had a chance to win.

The Republicans gave that election away - hardly mattered who the Democrats ran - most would assume he couldn't be any worse than Rauner.

FYI, I voted for Rauner, as I couldn't see much difference between Pritzker and Obama.

This is the state that gave you, George Ryan, Ron Blagojevich and Al Capone. This state only has one thing going for it that benefits me, I don't have to pay state income tax on my retirement benefits. But I look for that to change here one of these years, but when it does, I will more than likely leave. As far as the law for a license for ffl. dealers, it is a typical Illinois feel good law, will not benefit anyone. First rule of Illinois, if there is a problem, raise taxes or license it.
