Illinois Gun Bill's... Death by a thousand cuts

How many bills have they introduced?

There is a proposed tax on ammunition.

There is a proposed bill to have the Illinois State Police monitor social media accounts of FOID card applicants and card holders.

There is a proposed bill to require federally licensed dealers to buy a state license.

There is a bill to ban "assault weapons" including the majority of handguns sold, semi-automatic shotguns, semi-automatic 22LR's.

There is a bill to require existing "assault weapons" to be registered in a 120 day window with a tax. This includes basic handguns like a Glock that a police office carries on his hip. Nothing new can be purchased for a magazine greater than 10 rounds.

Did I miss any?

Oops. Forgot one. They want to serialize ammunition. That makes handloads and old inventory contraband!

Looks like Illinois Democrats are determined to make law abiding citezen "criminals" with petty little process crimes of technicalities.

It's an assault on gun owners. "Democrats" in Chicago will keep shooting each other. This won't stop them. It's the gun enthusiasts the progressives are after.

No, each law alone is not a big infringement but they are pushing all of these laws.

I am starting to see a pattern here, it is about capicity and semi-auto. The anti's see anything semi auto and a machine gun. It would seem the revolver is about to make a huge comeback. If the anti's think a 9MM is a real ghetto rat killer wait until they see wounds from a 125JHP out of a .357 mag.

The problem is trying to find some logic in their madness. Oh, they just want to ban high cap mags, or oh they just don't like semi-autos.

The faster we face the fact that they simply want to take all guns out of the hands of free Americans, the better we will be.

I am thinking the Illinois license with a lot of regulations has been signed by Prickster. It carries a lot of new regs by the state...Yea, pretty certain. And it carries a load of crap for FFL' s here.

I'm sure everything on the Liberal Democrats wishlist will be brought up.

Why not - Democrats control everything & we've elected another version of Obama as Governor. OK shorter, fatter and richer but still an Obama.

We had a lot of the same crap come up here last week in the Virginia legislature. All of them got squashed.
