GOA files another SCOTUS amicus brief

Gun Owners Foundation and Gun Owners of America have filed an amicus brief before the Supreme Court in NYSRP v. New York City.
https://gunowners.org/goa-to-scotus/

From their argument:

In deciding this case, [the Supreme] Court should not ask to what degree Second Amendment rights have been infringed, but rather whether they have been infringed at all. If they have, the Second Amendment makes the decision an easy one? [A]ny policy making or interest balancing that may be required has already been done ? by the People ? in their ratification of the Second Amendment. This Court?s task, then, is a simple one ? to enforce that mandate from the People.
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

The fact that SCOTUS has taken this case says a lot already.

The GOA brief focuses the argument correctly, IMO, by stating it in fundamental principles and not clouding ti with extraneous reasoning which can do nothing but narrow the decision. A finding in favor of the plaintiff that includes the stated reasoning by the GOA will go a long way toward correcting some of the flaws in the Heller and McDonald decisions.

Let's hope the NRA doesn't try to throw a monkey-wrench into this case too.
