Looks like it's coming and don't believe the lie Schumer spouts about how they are not coming for your guns.

The nationwide survey found 69 percent of registered voters support banning assault-style weapons, compared to 31 percent who oppose such a move.

Earlier this month, Senate Minority Leaders Charlies Schumer (D-N.Y.) told reporters that he ?doesn?t know of any other Democrats who agrees? with O?Rourke?s proposal to confiscate assault-style weapons.

I just took a poll at work.

100% in favor of taking 100% of all gun laws off the books.

See, I can spout complete *, just like the fricking liberals.

There is no way in hell that their ?Data? is correct.

But, the mindless idiots that believe such bull hockey eat it up.

I have no doubt that a misinformed uneducated regarding the subject public thinks whatever the media tells them too.

Really depends on where you decide to do your polling.

Not really, but the sad affairs of this Republic is failing. No cares until it's too late. Like 9/11. How many warnings did George Bush Jr. have about it & ignored them?

No too many years ago, I would have said 'Who cares, we are not a mob-rule Democracy'.

Now, after Scalia confirmed the power of Government to regulate firearms, I am no longer so confident.

Politicians will (and some people say they should) vote in a manner they feel will advance their chances of winning the next election. If enough believe these polls, and members in the Senate of red and reddish states are pressured enough by their party leadership, such a ban will be enacted. There is little doubt in my mind that our current President will sign it for the same reason the House and Senate pass it.

There will obviously be court challenges, but the wording of Heller and McDonald allows it; something many of us said at the time the decisions were passed down.

Sorry I should have said assault weapon confiscation! Of course when this happens look for some fireworks! All the Democrats are for it already! Just one decision form from the Supreme Court and we are no longer a Free nation under G-d.

The Democrats are destroying the USA.

They are all commie socialist....destroying America from Within like Russian Premier Krucheve said decades ago.

The government has no rights. Only the people have rights which empowers the government.
We have enough gun laws, what we need is IDIOT control.

I am more than willing to consider new laws, possibily an "assault weapons ban" of some sort...as soon as all those gun laws on the books, that they claim "aren't working", are repealed.
I can't believe they misspelled "Pork and Beans!"

    I'm not.

accepting a ban on (arguably) the most effective means to resist tyranny will never make any sense to me.

Not in the last poll I saw trotted out here. (GBGD) It was apprx. 97% "No." Consistently, for days.

Where do these "Poll" #'s come from? You can make a "Poll," say anything you want, by determining Who, you ask.

Probably not as many as Bill Clinton did.
