Micro-Stamping, I live in California and know firsthand just how radical gun laws are here.

Are any manufactures of firearms allowed to sell guns in this state actually "microstamping"
their firing pins yet? If so what about used firearms? will there be some sort of micro stamped retrofit??
Who knows what they'll propose next??
Thanks in advance.

Implementing the legislation which required microstamping has been on hold for over a decade. The bill required two different manufacturers to provide the service, but currently only one:  NanoMark, a division of ID Dynamics of Seattle, Washington, has the means to do it. Until a #2 comes onto the legislation remains on hold.

The microstamping requirement for semi-automatic pistols that are not already on roster took effect in 2013.  The law was passed in 2007 and put on hold as described above.  However the then CA Atty General Kamala "I'm a gunowner too" Harris certified the process as practicable.  CalGuns and NSSF lost a lawsuit in 2018 in which the CA Supreme court more or less said "that a requirement may be impossible to comply with does not preclude it from being imposed".

As a practical matter, since 2013 all new model semi-auto handguns, centerfire and rimfire, nave been banned from import to CA via the usual FFL route.

What a crock! Crooks can defeat micro-stamping with a few file strokes.

The goal isn't to catch bad guys.  The goal is to reduce and eventually eliminate guns from the CA market.  Which is exactly what's happening.  S&W and Ruger each have one or two semi pistols available for sale in CA.  Colt has none.
