What were your favorite and most disliked field rations...?
(VN)...C-rations...Peaches and pound cake, Ham and eggs...The worst...Pork...
LRP's...Most were OK...but the Ham and Baby Lima Beans...AKA "Pork and Shrapnel" were a gut bomb!

Favorites beans and wieners, always tried to save pears, crackers and cheese for breakfast.  Tankers were REAL superstitious about apricots.

Ever get one of these?  McIlhenney would send you one and a couple of small bottles of Tabasco for the asking.

75-76 Germany C's.  Ham and eggs.  Beef or ham slices.  1944 dated fruit cake.  The big candy bar in a can, not the skinny ones wrapped in foil.

liked the beans weinies about the best,  ham and eggs about the worst, coffee wasn't great either but beat none at all,  seem to recall a sort of beef/pork pattie and potatoe chunks in gravy wasn't bad hot, but couldn't do it cold.....

I always liked the "ham & mofos" but from the  time that first appeared on the menu, about 1943, it was consistently the most hated. The pound cake was outstanding!
