Hello

This little carbine was made in 1895 and comes complete with an extra proof that is not familiar to me.

Anyone know who may have owned it back then?

take care and thanks

The gun was exported when it was new judging from the condition of the proofs. There is going to be one on the receiver as well. Looks like on the left side there is another.

    Hello,
As pointed out it is definitely the British proof marks.  I am working on a research survey of the Model 1892 rifles and would like to add yours into the data.  Could I please get the full serial number and a few more photos of the areas of stamped writing on the barrel and upper tang of the receiver?

    Thanks so much
