Remington Tac 14

Vinny Vinny Member Posts: 3

I purchased a Remington tac 14DM however I live on Nassau Long Island in NY.

  1. Do I need a gun license for the Tac14 dm?
  2. Since the item was purchased on gunbroker, how do I go about getting the gun from seller?

Thank you

"It is very important that you contact the FFL dealer BEFORE placing a bid on an item to verify the complete cost of the transfer, to verify the legality of the item in your area, and to make sure you qualify to pass any required background checks."

You may want to contact your vendor and explain why there is a delay in completing this sale.

BTW, you may also want to find out whether this gun is legal to possess where you are.  A very important question.

I can't stress this enough:  READ AND UNDERSTAND THE AVAILABLE TUTORIALS BEFORE BIDDING!

Typing in the words: "gun stores in Long island NY" brought up several dealers who would appear to be in your area (I'm not intimately familiar with NYC). Contact one of those dealers for details for permits/licenses and transfers.

Understand that although you bought the gun on the Gun Broker auction site, you made the purchase from an independent seller and that you, the buyer, are completely responsible for complying with the terms and conditions of the sellers auction. That means that you must obtain any state or city permits and arrange for the transfer to a dealer in NY which you will select. If the seller has done prior business with NY residents he may be able to assist, otherwise be prepared to do some legwork to get your ducks in a row.

Thank you. I will reach out to the seller to find out a little more about his experience. I did reach out and found one. Cost of 50$ for transaction. I think that is not too bad..
