I am a curious type and wanted to know how big a virus is compared to other particles etc. Found this interesting site which is above my pay grade, but very interesting to say the least.

Ahead of his time - mask and gloves!
A. Droplet precautions are needed to prevent the spread of a patient’s illness to family members, visitors, staff members, and other patients. A patient will be placed on droplet precautions when he or she has an infection with germs that can be spread to others by speaking, sneezing, or coughing. Everyone coming into the room of a patient under droplet precautions will be asked to wear a mask to prevent the spread of germs to themselves. Hand washing is another important part of droplet precautions to keep everyone’s hands clean and to avoid spreading germs through touching other people or objects in the patient’s room, such as door knobs, light switches, or patient care equipment.
Q. What kind of infections can be spread by droplets?
A. The common cold and influenza are examples of infections spread by droplets. These infections are spread when the sick person talks, coughs or sneezes and releases droplets of saliva and mucus. These droplets can travel through the air for several feet, and can be breathed into the nose and mouth of another person, where the virus can grow and make that person sick.
Q. What should my care providers be doing?
A. If you are on droplet precautions, your care providers should be wearing a surgical mask at all times when they are with you. The mask should be tied or fastened around their head. They should also wash their hands when they enter and exit the room. If they are providing additional care for you (such as bathing or changing a bandage) they should be wearing gloves and, if necessary, a gown.
Q. As a patient, what should I be doing?
A. You should not be asked to wear a mask, except possibly for a very short period of time, such as during transport to another room. You should be covering your sneezes and coughs with disposable tissues and carefully discarding the used tissues into a trash can. You should be washing your hands often, either with soap and water or an alcohol based hand rub. You should make sure visitors are aware that you are on droplet precautions and receive instructions from your care provider prior to entering your room. If your physician prescribes medication (an antibiotic or antiviral drug), you should take it exactly as prescribed. If you have additional questions, you should ask your care providers.
Q. As a visitor, what should I be doing?
A. People who visit someone on droplet precautions should follow facility employee instructions. You should wear a mask and wash your hands before and after the visit. If you are sick, you should stay at home and visit the facility at another time.
But to the theory of the particles binding to something like a mask, well I guess my beard and mustache is my mask. To those who think I should be treated as guilty even though I do not have the sickness, I say exercise your right to stay home or live in a bubble, don't infringe on mine.
If the mask can catch the virus, that's great, but what is the virus doing in that warm moist environment the mask provides? The virus, rather than dying either from exposure or antibodies, has a chance to propagate to a level in which the body cannot produce enough antibodies to ward it off, and you get a cold?
The article also talks about how virus are being used to attack other bacteria and disease in a beneficial manner. What if this is the "vaccine" virus to protect us from the second wave of a more deadly virus which is more than likely to come around.
Children are not dying from this, their little bodies are adapting. Actual doctors and people who know this stuff and all the current statistics are saying the kids do not spread the virus, but I know that kids are snot monsters. I also know that you cannot stop this virus or many other "invisible killers" unless you live in a clean room or bubble.
Some people love K&N oiled air filters. But do they really work? Not really. I have had opportunity to see the damage done by these ineffective filters. Heck, the dirt even gets past a good paper filter, which is probably ten times better than a diaper mask. Those are pleated filters so air volume vs filtering small particles is optimized, and tiny dirt will get past. Maybe not big enough to gouge the cylinder walls.
Now we are talking about a virus so small, that in order to effectively stop it, you could not breath. I know this from working in the welding/fabrication industry. Other than wearing a fully contained breathing apparatus, the particles, which are sky scrapers compared to a virus, still get by. And people wearing masks are still contracting the virus, maybe at a higher rate than non wearers.
The article opened my eyes to the panic porn being spread by the mask shamers who wear face diapers. We grow up and out of diapers, but some old people poo themselves, so lets pass a law making everybody wear adult diapers. YOU GOT YOUR WISH.
If you can smell a Xart when wearing a mask, will the mask also stop a virus from being taken in when you breathe?

And since the subject is brought up, how is it that overall deaths nationwide have dropped during the shut down? That includes deaths from hospitals. Could it be that hospitals are killing people? The stats are out there, malpractice and other negligence kill many people, and quite a few are from contracting infections while in the hospital.
And just my first search result:
"In American hospitals alone, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that HAIs account for an estimated 1.7 million infections and 99,000 associated deaths each year." Where is the outrage?
So if you are going to proclaim "expert knowledge" let's look at the facts, not some irrelevant comparison, which when you break it down is perfect reason NOT to believe the western medicine know nothings.
And another related stupid justification is "I wear a mask all day and don't have headaches". Well good for you, there are divers and surfers who can hold their breath in excess of 4 minutes. I'd be willing to bet 90% of the people can't hold their breath a full minute.
So let's stick to facts, not fiction OK. And the only related fact is the death count, not covid related, but actual covid deaths. And that is probably around 80K, which is less than a rough flu season. But try and find how many died from the regular flu. Good luck getting accurate data. Goes back to my "fake logic" that 99% of those who died that were tested, had 2 feet. People are dropping like flies because they have 2 feet. Maybe we should lop their feet of and save lives?

Do you suppose the number of deaths decreasing is from:
A. The shut down preventing more vulnerable people from contracting the virus and/or
B. The medical profession has developed more effective treatments as the learning curve for this virus has advanced.
Your post about infections in hospitals proves that those who wear a mask don't seem to get sick. The patients, who don't normally wear masks get infections. Some of the cases are from surgery infections but if you are around sick people that's what happens. Kind of proves the social distancing theory, doesn't it?
As for the flu deaths by comparison to covid, you still haven't explained the more than 5000 deaths in Michigan attributed to the virus compared to the 200 or so total from the flu last year.
Since you have such a disdain for western medicine, where exactly are you going to go if you become critically ill? Perhaps a sweat lodge and we can have the local Shaman shake a few rattles and ask the spirits to come to your aid.
