How to stop a bid on the site

I made a bid on a item that’s not what I wanted to bid on.now how can I stop my bid from being the only one on that item and from keeping it from winning the bid if I I’m the only one bidding on that item.??

i sure would like some one to help out with this issue..I don’t want to end up with an item that it wasn’t what I wanted to bid on.!

please help me in this situation because I do buy often enough on this website and I don’t want to lose the privilege of being able to keep on bidding on this site.!
