Can you imagine being a conservative politician in todays political climate??

If you are conservative everything you do, everything you say, will be twisted, taken out of context, intentionally misquoted, you will be lied about, verbally attacked, or worse, your family will be verbally attacked, the commies, libtards, socialistic scum will stop at nothing to ruin any and all opposition to their agenda.

We all think it is terrible that we don't have more really good conservative men and women running for office's at every level of our government from local races, State and federal races.

Can we really blame good people for not being willing to subject themselves and their families to this kind of abuse??   I would love to know the answer to this problem but I do get it.  It is one thing to be attacked personally but to subject the wife and children to this abuse??  Nope, it would not be for me.  And that is the problem, good people, the type of people like many of us here on GB and all across this great country are going nope, not for me.  Do any of you have any thoughts on these problems??

My opinion is that the MSM, the majority of the democrat party, including many governors and big city mayors are working, hand in glove, with terrorists. All to eliminate DJT and any semblance of American values.

Terrorism is defined in the Code of Federal Regulations as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives” (28 C.F.R."

Until the rule of law is enforced against these terrorist groups, and those who fund and enable them (George Soros, etal), it simply is unsafe to voice any opposition to the thuggery and violence that they embrace. No real surprise to me that people are hesitant to subject themselves to the reprisals of terrorists.
So, my question would be; Where in the world is the US Department of Justice?
Perhaps we're left with no choice but to bring vigilante justice to the streets?
If these thugs were foreign nationals assaulting our local and federal officers, law abiding citizens would feel completely justified in assuming an elevated position and turning the streets red in defense of those officers.

way past time for police/ LEO of any kind to use live ammo to open up our cities and put this anarchy to rest.....cannot fathom why it is being enabled and allowed...seems they are still trying to charge the st. louis couple for defending their property after street rioters broke down their steel gate and trespassed...fnnn insane

It is easier to be a conservative politician today than a conservative entertainer or CEO.

Politicians are charged with presenting their beliefs and goals and the voting public is charged with evaluation and eventual selection or rejection.

Entertainers are faced with the destruction of their careers if caught in a candid moment that goes against the contemporaneous activist mantra.

CEO's face significant damage to their companies and their employees if caught in a candid moment that goes against the contemporaneous activist mantra.

Very few conservative politicians left anyway.  Virtually all that call themselves conservative today are running on the holdover platform tenents of the 1980s where the idols of a bloated military and Christian dogma dominated the Republican party.  They retained these non-conservative tenents as well as the fundamentally anti-conservative concept of deficit spending as a normal and acceptable way to run a government.  Actual conservatism celebrates the freedom of the individual and the smallest possible footprint of government.  We have not had a president who fit that bill since Calvin Coolidge.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

Perhaps the OP should be re titled to read "Can you imagine being anything but a DEMOCRAT in today's political climate".
