I think the libertarian party has some really good points and I would say I am a libertarian but like everything else the party has been taken over by the wackos.

Like RR said we don't need a 3rd party we need a new and reconstituted party.  I just wish the (R)'s would get behind DJT and get going, but they are worried the press will be mean to them and they are such little men they cannot take it like DJT has.  I doubt there are many who could take what he has had thrown at him without either breaking, caving or starting a vendetta.

Sadly, at least for the forseeable future, we are a two party system. Unless you can generate 65 - 70 million votes any vote for the libertarian party puts Biden a bit closer to being president. I am not much of a Trump fan but certainly don't want Biden in office. We have laughed about crazy Bernies politics for years thinking they would never come to fruition. Well his socialist leanings have become mainstream and will doom this country if his surrogate Biden is elected. So I will hold my nose and set principles aside in favor of practicality and vote for Trump again. Bob

A vote for Jorgensen is a vote for Biden.  She won't win; Biden might.
Not it isn't, it is a vote for Jorgensen. Why do you say such things?

I disagree, I don't want to hurt your feelings by hitting the button so I will just say it.

The 2 party system is not constitutionally approved form of governance. But, most people know that the age old  saying, "divide and conquer" is true.  While the left and right are fighting, the government beast grows and thrives. Eventually it will not be able to sustain itself without bringing back some form of indentured servitude and population control.

Where have we seen that before?

You missed my point. I don't see any liberals voting for Jorgensen. Conservatives might and that will take votes from Trump. No way that 65 - 70 million will switch to Jorgensen so her candidacy is noble but pointless. The last race in 16 was so close all she has to do is siphon off a small percentage to ensure a democrat win this November. I am not crazy about Trump but Biden would be a disaster. If you want to waste your vote don't blame me if Biden wins.

The constitution makes no mention of political parties. Arguably the first ones (Federalists, anti-federalists) were formed during the arguments about ratifying the constitution. The constitution does make it possible for them to exist by guaranteeing freedom of speech and lawful assembly so to say they are not constitutionally approved is a bit of a stretch.

Not a stretch at all, the constitution enumerates what powers the federal government has, if it is not written, it is forgone conclusion that the government does not have the power.

You mention that you don't know (or see as you put it) liberals voting for Jorgensen, does not mean it does not happen. I would sooner believe that you don't hang around with them, and just don't have first hand knowledge.

Maybe you can do a research project over on hillary or obama twitter or other lib gathering ground  and test your theory. Tell them that you are going to vote for Jorgensen, and watch them dog pile you for handing your vote to Trump.
