And here is an example of a Republican scumbag
I wonder how much they paid him for this bogus call???? The Governor can ignore the Constitution, exceed her powers by a HUGE margin and tell the State Supreme Court to pound sand. Then this (R) total [deleted] pulls this stunt. The problem with Republicans is they lack the moral fiber, the back bone and the focused determination to actually act like our First Republican POTUS, Abe Lincoln. I bet ole' Abe is turning in his grave.

Ole' Abe, thrust this Country into turmoil, and one of the most destructive Wars we have ever fought, totally throwing aside State Rights, which our Founders felt was superior to Federal Rights.
The South had the right to secede, via the Constitution, Ole' Abe thought different. Ole' Abe ignored the Constitution, and exeeded his Powers by a HUGE margin, and ignored SCOTUS in the process.
I've got no problem calling out low lifes of either persuasion, but please, do not hold out "Ole Abe," as a Saint, or something our POTUS choices should aspire to.
He curtailed a lot of the Rights our Founders built in to the Constitution. (States Rights, Habeas Corpus, etc.)
Just like "The Patriot Act" was for our own good. (Please.)
Sorry Bruce not an Abraham Lincoln fan. Ask Kimi, or Ricci who was the recipient of his Book giveaway on this subject. Maybe they will weigh in, or not.
Where in the Constitution does it say once a State joined the union it was free to leave without "issues"? Just curious...
If I was paying attention in civics class....
The Constitution doesn't really address secession. And most of the founding fathers' documents indicated that the union was permanent.
But that's probably what the King thought too. 😉
No offense bpost, but isn't "republican scumbag" a redundancy??
I believe you are thinking of "scumbag politician".
If a State can "Join" a Union, then certainly that same State should have the right to leave that Union if they decide that Union is not acting in it's best interests. If the Founders wanted States rights to be superior to Federalist rights, how could that not be the case?
The worse is Romney in Utah.
