Bert (All welcome)
I was told that you are the "goto" man on everything 94. I have a 94, SN 111817, 30-30 that has a factory made 64 'field replacement' front end on it with the proper stamps on the barrel. The action is still tight and crisp and it shoots dead on. Has a peep Redfield site. One Owner/Family gun. Was in safe storage for 55 years.
I've attached pics and I'd welcome any feedback about this gun.
God Bless

While no Win. 'expert', I've seen several 'conversions' like this. A popular way to fix a 'shot out' barrel.
Thanks Mike!! Appreciate your time and comment.
While I am no expert what so ever, and cannot comment on the originality of your rifle, that long barrel, and half magazine makes her a looker for sure!
Made in 1901. The Oval P proof is for a non-factory installed barrel, or mail order. Bottom of the barrel close to the receiver is a 2 digit date code, might give you an idea when it was built.
Great! Many Thanks! I'll check it out.
