Does it matter when a Zulu rifle made around the 1840s was converted to shotgun to qualify as an antique?

The date(s) of conversion don't matter.

But, "Zulu" is a type of firearm, not a manufacturer. It is an "antique" in the US only if that particular firearm was made in, or before, 1898; modifications don't matter.
