Our Black Democratic mayor & The city Council here has enacted a bill to give all city employees a paid 12 week furlough for births,adoptions etc...while the city budget dumps into the red because of federal cov-19 stimulus money is drying up.
Typical Progressive Democratic efficiency to spend more and raise taxes and fees all the while Giving more benefits and retirement for city workers. What a joke it all is herein America now. Buy votes with tax payers money and raise the debt and hoping for D.C. to bail them out later.

During monthly presentations on the city’s finances this week, Controller Chris Brown warned that Houston could be facing a budget deficit of as much as $300 million by 2025.“I would expect, especially in the out years, particularly in 2025 and [20]26, a structural imbalance projected — probably double what it was when I first came into office,” said Brown during a meeting of the Houston Budget and Fiscal Affairs Committee Tuesday.

As for Houston; Look at who their congressional rep is.
