700X powder in pistols.

A buddy gave me an 8 pounder of the old steel square canister vintage. It was full. I have been shooting it in 38 special cast 158 SWC (3.4 grains), 45 ACP "plinker loads (200 gr cast SWC) and mild .357 mag. cast 158 SWC loads. It has been easy to meter on my Dillon 650 system and shoots amazingly well.

I know other have had issues with metering accuracy. My experience has been great with nary a deviation in weight as weighed on the RCBS 1500 scale. If you find some 700X at a garage sale and it looks and smells fresh give it a try, especially with the insane powder and primer prices we see today.
