When SWAT teams were first created, the authorities marketed them solely for managing hostage situations, sniper activity, and civil unrest. Now militarized police are used routinely for drug raids, Iraq-War-door-kicking style. SWAT deployments have increased exponentially since the 1960s.

The military and most police units too. I am not hopeful.

Some will die in hot pursuit

They could just go ahead and buy some remote control electric vehicles and make them "Hot " and electrocute some folks for crowd control
